weird spark plug problem
weird spark plug problem
so i've noticed a lack of power lately - checked all the spark plugs, and they all look good - nice color, no buildup
while doing some coolant work, i cranked it up and had it idleing low - aroun 400 rpms - and noticed a piff piff sound - seemed very constant and around twice a second - hit the gas and the sound went away - i looked down and saw the front sparkplugwire on the driver side moving a bit - sure enough the boot pushed out justbarely with every piff - i'm certain the plug is screwed in all the way, it just seems there is some sort of leak between the cylinder and the boot to force it out slighty - does anyone have ANY idea what this means? tomorrow i'll replace the plug and see if that changes anything...

Here is a WAG (wild a$$ guess) the porceline, porcelin, porcelien, the hard white thing in the middle of the spark plug may be cracked and allowing combustion pressure up into the boot.
