What criteria are important when deciding on flow rate for a fuel pump?

Gallons per hour, and PSI....it all depends on what your motor needs, a typical carb. setup will use need around 6psi, fuel inj. can run anywhere from 12-50, the GPH all depends on how much HP you are making. 1 GPH at 6PSI may be good for a 1HP lawnmower, but for a large V8 you would most definitley need more.
