That is all a bunch of crap. Take it to a good bodyshop and have
the estimator look at it. He will tell you if it has ever been messed
with.

I have put cars on the road that have been totaled before and
I can guarantee you that Carfax has no record of it let alone
anyone else. Totaly legal, in the open and no one really cares.

Just because your car don't show up on Carfax don't mean crap.
Title washing or buying a total loss directly from the insured for a
price that offsets the settlement to get a clean title and a dozen
other legal practices make it all interesting.

A while back I saw a 2002 Vette with the front end missing,
sheared off at the windsheild, with the planets hanging out of
the rear half of the tranny that was hanging in the car by the
tranny mount. The owner took the insurance check and kept the
car, perfectly legal. The owner sold it with the clean title.

That car will be on the road next summer with a new owner who
will never know it was ever wrecked. Not Carfax, or any state or
government body will ever know the car was ever in an accident.
Even if you did a title search you would never discover that the
car was declared a total loss from an insurance company.

I couldn't even tell it was a Corvette without looking at the rear
quarters and tail lights.

Carfax? Don't waste your time. Tens of thousands of mangled
cars each year are put back on the road with no one the wiser.

I ran the carfax for u and it turned up clean in all aspects.

But like swapmaster said its not always accurate cause i bought a 89 formula in feb. that the owner told me about an accident however carfax gave it an accident free report . That doesnt matter anyway because i totaled it 3 weeks ago and believe me it will not see the road again.

hope this helps

ok, thanks. If you still have it, could you send me it anyway? I'd like to see it. If you dont still have it then that's ok, I'm just curious. I was just hoping carfax would tell me something, but it's pretty obvious it probably has been in an accident. Thanks.
