Air conditioning problem and question re: radiator flush?

:lala: I'm having an air conditioning problem. Air coming out top dash and floor side vents only. Not coming out of dash that blows right at you.. vaccuum problem? How to fix? Where to look?

Evidently someone had used the pink radiator fluid in my car. I bought the car used. They also put regular radiator fluid in it. Now it's like gunk in the radiator. Should I flush it a couple times or leave it alone? Someone told me I might do more damage if I flush it??? Thanks

The AC problem is probably the vacuum diaphram that holds the door open to send air out the front vents. I can't remember exactly which one does this, but it is one of the two that's behind the dash in the middle.

Dunno if you can reach them without removing the dash, but your going to need to take our the radio housing at a minimum. You can test each one with a vaccum pump like a mightyvac.

On the radiator thing, if it has chunks of anything in it, it will eventually plug something up. I would get it flushed out.
