i can buy this car for 1000. it has been recently repainted and it is the maroon color. it has t tops and a black interior. i would like to have anouther iroc (yes i know i just bought an 89 iroc) but it needs to have the seals repalced and the interior redone, and my black car needs new paint and seals. i would also like to get a c4 corvette. i am doing a serious speedvision gt type conversion to my 89 iroc this year so i need somthing to drive this winter because i am going to try to find the time to start my restor on my 84 supra this winter. i am torn between buying the 86 or save up for a coulple more months and nuy a vette. so what are your thoughts. the 86 also needs a new tranny but i have the one out of my wrecked 87 iroc.

save for the vette, c4's are sweet sweet cars, when i get money im keeping my t/a and getting a c4, its good to have variety, and once again c4's are sweet cars, best vettes IMO

 

sounds like you got one too many projects for right now....

 

Hate the C4 'vettes, the well where the pedals are is waaaayyyy too narrow for me (size 13 wide feet).
A cool grand for the 86 seems ok...but it would need some work it sounds like and those seal kits for the 3rd gens are expensive. Also you didn't mention the engine, how many miles and in what condition?

 

i can buy any part for cost plus tax through the body shop i work for. the engine runs and has 135,000 on it. yes this would make 3 projects but i would only do what i have to to the 86 to get it running. i am going to talk to the coworker who has it tomorow to see if he will go down any.
i guess time will tell. but this would put me on my way to owning 1 of every year iroc. i might put my supra restor on hold for now.
