Plug wire location on 88 TBI dist?

I am working on this 1988 camaro it has a 305/tbi auto. It came to me in pieces. I need to know what wires go where on the distributor cap. I'm lost thanks, brad

which wires? the spark wires? or the tach and coil wire?

If I remembr correctly, the firing order for a SBC is something like 18643572, but dont quote me on that..look in a chilton manual or something.

the number 1 plug location on the distributor will be 1 post past the center on the drivers side of the distributor cap.

I just whipped out the pics of my old 305tbi on my 89, and it looks like the tach/hot wire are together in a harness, one wire is red, and it looks like the other wire is beige or white.
they look like they come out of a wiring harness that runs along the firewall by the wiper motor.
the harness plugs directly into the coil, which is seperate from the distributor.

I hope this helps, I would post the pics if I could.

once again, dont take my firing order for fact.

why don't you buy yourself a manual, if you'd listen to the first replys firing order you'd be screwed right now

I know the firing order and where the spark plug wires go. I need to know where the wires on the plugs on the bottom side of the dist go? I have the wires that go to the coil, and the pigtail that goes from the coil to the dist, but i am missing a 4-pin plug. thanks for the replys guys.

I managed to lose my manual for my camaro didn't really need it until now). I took all my electronics out.

I had that problem too I'd look behind the dist and around the tranny. Mine kinda fell in the tranny tunnel and I couldnt fit it. Its hard to see back there, but check back there and im sure its back there somewhere.
