Degree wheel problem
Degree wheel problem
I got the crank nut from Comp cams, it is threaded on the end for a degree wheel.
Look here
The only problem is the threaded part is 1” diameter and my degree wheel has a ¾ hole in it. I was thinking I could just open the hole in the degree wheel with a small grinding bit, would this through the accuracy off any? I know I could keep the hole centered within .020

i just looked at my degree wheel and it has 1" hole in center plus bushings to fit smaller bolts as well as a set of holes to bolt to the dampner. mine is a mr gasket profession series. i also have a cheap one from isky i got way back in the 70s or early 80s and one set up for degreeing in 5hp b&s engines.
