knocking when brakeing

I don't know what the problem is but when ever i brake I hear a slight knock which sounds like it's comeing from the rear drums. Does anyone know what this might be?

You may have a slightly warped drum, or the hardware on your rear brakes needs replaced. I'm talking about all those wonderful little springs and retainers.
