someone said i needed posi cuz my 1 wheel was spinning and not two

how much are they?$$$$$$$$$$? i have a 1991 auto z28 please help me

First you need to find out what size gears you have. Then you'll have to price around. Your looking at about $250-$500 dollars for a good Posi unit. You could also get one used out of a junked F-body, but it's used, and get it rebuilt. Price, not sure on that.

A posi "can" make your car faster because it is going to give you more traction in a straight line launch. This is because now you have 2 wheels with power to them and not just 1.

Your car should already have one. Might be worn and not working up to par...but you will still have one unless someone changed your rear at some point.

 

I agree with Jester. If you dont know what you are doing you should take your car to a shop and have them look at it to see if it is working properly. I know mine was having problems until I changed out the fluid and it was working out just fine after that.
