On my car i took off the intake to see the filter. it was a k&n and i took it out to look at it, and in the front of it there is and oil stain or a black cirle of gunk in the side of the airfilter. Is this a problem? I'm putting a CAI on the car soon, and wanted to know if the airfilter was a problem?

 

if you're worried about it you can always pick up a "k&n filter recharging kit". its basically some solvent, and new oil and directions how to clean the filter. you can pick it up at autozone or pep boys or such...
