Serpentine Conversion Questions

Okay, I'm thinking of converting to serpentine setup. I m going to the junk yard today to look for a setup. What all would I need to get? Could I reuse any of my existiong accessories since they all work fine? Would there be any way to re-use my A/C compressor, since its not even a year old and works great? I know I would have to lose my freon charge since the A/C compressor moves to the other side, but I have some more freon (thank gawd). the biggest problem I can think of is what to do about the water pump. Dont serpentine systems have reverse rotation water pumps? Do they cool better? Any info very much appreciated.

speaking of. What is the correct way to open the belt tensioner? I thought I was going to loose my fingers this week when I had to move the AC for the headers.

What do you mean by open the tensioner? Loosen it? If so, it just takes a half inch drive ratchet. I use a big torque wrench.

The new ones (replacement) are 3/8" square. Use a 3/8" rachet.
