Engine Oil Fill Cap
I recently bought my car and I have to change the oil. It has the Edelbrock lifter covers on it and each of them has a hole in it, one has a ventilation filter hting on it and the other one doesnt have anythign in it. Is it ok to fill the oil through these holes?

Thank you kind sir. What I love about these boards is that I can ask the most simple questions that may sound dumb but I always get an honest answer and don't get ragged on.
BTW my left side cover doesnt have the filter on it in the vent hole, is this really bad?
BTW my left side cover doesnt have the filter on it in the vent hole, is this really bad? Mine only has a hole in 1 side, and it happens to be on the drivers side. Makes no difference, still goes the same place. As far as the filter, some just have the chrome cap that just looks like a cap but has smaller breather holes, and some actually have the like an open element filter you can see. Which ever type you prefer. Wish I had a digital camera, you can't really see mine in that shot. BTW, anyone who rags on ya for askin a simple question is just being an @ss. You got to start somewhere right!! All of us have been there. THe only stupid question is the unasked question. What woud have really been stupid is if you hadn't asked an tried to dump it down the dip stick.. LOL... Everyone on here is pretty cool and will try to help you out the best they can. Later Jason
