Excessive Fuel Pressure / Injector Leakage

Can excessive fuel pressure cause injectors to dribble fuel? I'm asking because I flunked emissions with high HC. The car has a Vortec supercharger which runs an auxilery fuel pump in series with the factory pump. I flunked with the supercharger active and with it disconnected. I've been playing with the auxilery fuel pressure regulator which senses manifold pressure. I'm thinking my best HC's were with the supercharger not active & the pressure regulator sensing manifold pressure. Maybe fuel pressure is still too high with the auxilary pump & I'm tempted to bypass the second pump. However, I would like someone's prior experience that high fuel pressure could result in excessive HC emissions. Anyone???
Thanks, FJK

FJK,

You might want to contact Cruizin' Performance for data on the injectors. I'm guessing that Rich might be able to tell you the maximum fuel pressure specification for whatever type injector you may be using.
