First off I was cruising with my little brother since he just got a 90 Poncho Bird and I'm in my 86 Camaro. We decide to gun it from a standstill at a red light to see if he can keep up with me. The take off was great. The car squatted tires spun for a minute and smoked the tires leaving a nice long rubber mark (yeah got a peg leg) . Even after I was done the car was still smoking badly and I lost my power steering. Have no idea why. It looks like my ps pump is cracked but just don't understand why? Any help will be greatly appreciated

are all the bolts and brackets that hold it in place and installed correctly?

 

I would have to take another look at it. When it happened it was 1 am. Tried adding a little ps fluid to see if there was a leak or crack. The little I poured in went out just as fast. Just don't know why it would happen in the first place

 

Just curious...is the resevoir on the pump cracked? Can you describe where?
