A code 32
A code 32
32. Fault in barometric pressure sensor circuit OR
Fault in exhaust gas recirculation valve diagnostic switch OR
Fault in electronic vacuum regulator valve
I did a search and saw different problems such as vaccum leak and bad egr valve and so on.. problem is I don't know where any of those are.. I did look at the one hose that runs to the back and and under the top of the intake.. but that all seems fine.. (although a hissing sound still comes from the driver's side of the engine).. anyway I drive around for a few minutes and the SES comes on.. flash it and its code 32... what do I do??..... man I literally JUST fixed another problem and was driving it around for the first time 'testing' out what I fixed and now this comes up.. its like my car doesn't want to be fixed =(
this is a 2.8 v6 engine.. 1986

ZB,
That "hissing" is probably a vacuum leak. While "fixing" the other problem, you may have inadvertently knocked the vacuum line off its fitting. Check around the intake area closely for any empty vacuum hose bibbs.

How can I check if my vaccum lines are good.. I pokea around and felt them while the engine was going and didn't feel any leaks.. i'll take the EGR off tomarrow and clean it out if I have time..
