Where does this go?

I've got an L-shaped bracket that I don't know where it goes. I think it goes on the rear of the driver's side head, but I don't know what it's for/what hooks up to it. Any ideas? (I've attached an image of the piece.)

Thanks

Well, I figured out where it bolts on anyway. But still, does anyone know what it actually does? (All I can tell is that a part of it sticks up over the valve cover...)
