what to do for a new engine
I have a 86 z28 with a lg4 which is way to slow. I am looking into all ortions for a new engine. Unfortunately i am haveing trouble coming across any good ones to rebuild and build up (350 w 4 bolt main or better). I have a paw catalog and was wondering if anyone has bought a engine from them. If so how is it i am interested in the custom racing package 400 4 bolt main. but with all i need it will be $3000+. Just wondering if anyone has delt with them or has any better options for me. Thanks for any help!
Just so that you don't limit yourself, a 2-bolt case can be machined for four-bolt SPLAYED main caps in the three center positions for about $200. Those are actually a bit more rigid than the factory four-bolt caps. As long as you are open to various combinations, you might consider the fairly common 383 stroker.
