corvett engins....

can a 98 5.7 corvett engine fit into a 84 camaro Z28 with a t-5 trannmission? if not what engine years would fit into my camaro? be it corvett or camaro

Transmission: Five speed
an LSI will need a lot of modifications and you can't/shouldn't use a t-5 i don't think. A small block, years 1955-1985 would work with your t-5 and will fit in your car just as easily as the stock motor.

Losts of work. You might want to go with a 6-speed. I've read a few threads about a LS1 and 5-speed it seem like everyone switched to a 6-speed (corvetteforum.com)

Your 5-speed won't bolt to a LS1 engine. Totally differant bell housing.

It might be worth the time to swap one into a classic Camaro, but if I were you I'd just build a stout 383 and drop it in instead of the LS1.

Well, an LT1 is not too hard to drop in, actually I know a guy who has one with a 6 speed in his 92 RS Vert. So you should be able to use a vette motor all the way up till 96 (last year of LT1, last year of C-4)
