how to check rear end

Hey guys,

I have an 82 z28 and I am pretty sure the rear end is original, is there any way I can run some sort of a test on it to see what sort of condition it is in?

Thanks,

Ben

yeah but it's pretty much take it apart and inspect it, take a few measurements. if it works and feels good that ought to be 95% of it. pull the caover at least and take a look. then you can change the oil and posi additive if it's a posi.

ede...

To remove the fluid you just take the cover off?

Then just apply new gasket/cover, and fill through side hole?
