Going to the junk yard saturday, am I forgetting anything?
Ok, this saturday I am making a trip to the junk yard to get a couple things. First, I am pulling an 85 T/A froont bumper which will finally complete my ground effects kit. I also need all the mounting hardware for the rocker trim pieces. For the front bumper, I guess I should get the fog light housings, too, and I know I need the plastic headlight bezels, since they are a little different than my current 83 ones.
I am also pulling a serpentine setup from an 89ish RS. It has everything minus the alternator. The A/C compressor looks brand new, so im gonna get that, plus the hoses for it, since mine are longer for the drivers side compressor. I am also going to take the power steering pump, because I know mine won't fit, and its leaking, anyways. Should I even bother taking the water pump? Am I forgetting anything?
Also, do reverse rotation water pumps cool any better than standard rotation ones?

Yea I was thinking I should probaby get the water pump, that way I could at least use it as a core.
Another question, is there any way I can re-use my alternator, and just put a serpentine pulley on it? If so, can I use a 2.8L V6 serpentine pulley, because I couldnt find any other serpentine V-8's and the alternator is missing from this one.

Man I want to go to a junk yard. I love that place! Hey you forgot your tools! J\k Sounds like you might have it down. What I'm going to bring is a car batery and my dremmell with a strong cutting wheel. Never know what you can hack up. Or what you might need to hack up.
