When is it a good idea to descreen your MAF?

I have a 88 GTA with the 305 TPI, i have an SLP CAI with the stock throttle body, would descreening my MAF be a good idea or a bad one? Also, i have a stock Prom. I just dont want to throw a code 33. Thanks

i think i'd leave it alone, any gains if any would be very small.

A bad idea, leave the screens alone.

A backfire could trash it, so even removing just the back one is a bad idea. If the MAF is a restriction to power, you can always check out the SD swap and lose it all together.
