Need Help ID'ing Connecting rods.
Found a box of rods, pistons, and an oil pump in my garage yesterday.
They'd originally come out of the 350 in my Z28 now.
It's a 4bolt main 010 bock from a suburban.
the only markings i can find are this
Big end.. rod side a GM on one side, and a 909 on the other
Cap.. a "0" stamped on it.
Looking to see if these are worth keeping, and having shot peened and such for the next motor.

Those are {drum roll please} "O" rods. They're one of the better stock forgings. They're probably the next best ones out of junk motors behind the "X" ones. Very typical truck part.
I wouldn't spend more than $10 or $15 apiece on work on them. They're fine for a stockish kind of build, with new bolts, but not really anything special or desirable.

Gracias... hehehe Exactly the type of answer i expected.
The plans for them were only to get like cleaned, checked for roundness.. and at themost shot peened, since they came free to me.
They won't be going in anything dramatic, just a replacement motor for the formula when i get round to that. <350 hp... it's tuned port.. no need for anymore than that, for a daily car for me, it's got a T-5 behind it.
I think they'll serve the purpose well
