Towing a u-haul trailer with my GTA, how hard is it gonna be on the car?
I'm about to move halfway across the country, and it looks like as far as moving my stuff out there, the only option I can afford is to rent one of those U-haul trailers and tow it behind my GTA. So my question is: just how hard is it going to be on the car? I think I'm not supposed to put it in OD, right? Is the transmission going to be what suffers the worst?
I am not particularly happy about this.

Yeah, I already priced that. Uhaul wants $1800 for the equipment alone.
I just checked out Ryder, and they're a lot cheaper, so I may go that route instead.

I let my brother-in-law do it when he moved at about the same time I did, he drove it 1250 miles (Memphis to Denver) with one of the small U-Haul enclosed trailers, then another 1250 miles (Denver to San Diego) without the trailer to deliver the car to me so I could quit renting a car. It was over 100° most of the first leg of the trip. He used the A/C non-stop. Everything was fine. This is a 5-speed though.
Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, and a car is just a tool, not an end in itself... make sure the rear end fluid, trans fluid, tires, oil, coolant, etc. are kept full, and properly cooled and working right, all should be well.

if i were you i would get a u haul truck and a u haul trailer to put the car on. ive seen a camaro towing a u haul trailer once. it made me wanna cry. thats not what those cars were built for. f-bodys with trailer hitches are trashy looking. no offence

lol, i can't wait until i re-wire my car this winter hopefully. i want to add some electronic stuff like cb radio, decent sound system, etc.
people will think i'm a ******* for havin a cb antenna on the car.
i might do a small type antenna that looks like a cell antenna.
