Is This Normal??
Changed the oil today after my cam swap break in period. The oil was a caramel/chocolate milk color. I would think the oil would stay a little cleaner lookin longer.
you changed the oil before you fired it up right? i bet it's the assembly lube in the oil. i use moly and it makes the oil look old and black in a few minutes, i always change oil after 30 minutes and 500 miles or so with moly lube.
I agree with F-BIRD'88.
Whenever you get coolant in the oil, it turns a chocolate milk colour, depending on the amount of coolant that got into the oil.
It's not good for the oil, so if the oil continues to stay chocolatey after changing it, you may want to investigate possible internal coolant leaks.
