Such a thing as too big of a fuel pump?

I posted this on Camaros.net also, but wanted to hear your input.

I will tell ya right now I am pretty clueless about this issue.

My fuel pump died on me over the weekend and needs to be replaced. Now what I want to know is if there is such a thing as putting in too big of a fuel pump? I hate to buy the stock replacement only to take it back out in the future when I get a much larger and more powerful engine.

How much power can the stock fuel pump support?

Thanks for your input,

I'd guess the stock pump can support at least double the power it was designed for. I wouldn't worry about putting too powerful of a pump in.

I think the guys on the TPI board like the Wilbro 225 model... or is that Wilpro? Something like that. Not that I'm helping much, I'll shut up...

That's the one! Damn, I butchered it's name badly! Thanks, Mkos!
