actually mine uses green for signal , and white to power the light, but then again, every manufacturer is a little different, ]

Open up the back and see which one goes to the light bulb.

red should go to the inj fuse....... white to the gauges fuse for light...... green always goes to the dist or ignition box..... i run mine to my msd box its got its own tach drive.... the black is a ground
