Tried to start car 1 day and will not start.

I put a new TPS on it and drove it around the block i came back and killed the car and then tried to start it 30 min later and it just cranked. The fan would also come on when i turned the key and it does not anymore. I tested to see if i was getting spark and i am not, thought it may be the coil put a new one on it and still no spark. Then someone said the module in the disturbtor may be bad had it checked and it is fine and then replaced the pickup coil and still no spark. We got the volt meter out tonight and we are not getting any kinda volts going to the coil and the disturbtor. I think there were like 5 wires with no volts, could the computer have gone bad? Its been like this for about 2 weeks now and getting pretty stressful. Any help is appreciated.

it'll start and run with broke ecm. check the fuseable links. got to have power somewhere, just trace backwards till you find it.

What kind of car and what motor? Your fans coming on as soon as the car started was a bad sign. That means your car was in limp home mode. I would check the wires around the distributor. and near the exhaust manifolds. It definetly sounds like your ecm wnet the way of the dinosaurs. Save your old ecm you can trade it plus 60 or so dollars at autozone for a new one. You will need to save the cover for the memcal and the memcal itself sense the new ones do not come with these.

It is a 89 IROC with a 383 stroker and a miniram setup. So you think it just may be the computer went out?

Well to make sure check the orange wires going into the ECM. They should have 12V with keyon. If they do and I suspect they do,, and nothing is coming out (spark, injector pulse) then I would definetly suspect the ECM.
