My TB is still hot after coolant bypass

OK, I saw the article about bypassing the coolant on the TB and this makes total sense to me. The coolant heats up the TB and I did all this work to get a cold air setup to the TB and plenum. To I bypass the coolant line directly from the heater deal to the manifold. Well I go for a good drive and I dont notice a real differencen in the HP or butt dyno, but what the heck, every little bit helps. When I get home tho, I touch the TB and it is really hot just like before. Well did I do it right? Why is it so hot? does this work on 91 cars too? Etc

Thanks
Larry

It works on all cars, the only problem is that it will only keep the throttle body cool for the first few minutes of driving until the intake is heated up sufficiently to also heat it up. It's widely known that this "mod" really isn't significant; the only importance to most of us is just getting rid of a hose. You really can't do it wrong.
