Need advice please.
Ok. I think I have finally come up with a long term "goal" for my car. People say to figure out what you want to do with your car before modding it so here goes.
I would like to get my car down into the 10-11 second range on the motor only. I would like the car to remain fuel injected, it will need to be streetable and emissions legal. Oh and I would like it to fit under the stock hood. I think head/cam/intake are going to be key???
I know that I will need to do some suspension work. Are there aftermarket parts that are lighter and stronger then ours? How important is weight loss going to be for my goal? How much can our cars loose before it gets "silly" I don't want to replace the glass with lexan or start removing braces that might save my life in a crash.
Thanks for any advice you can give basically I just wondering where I should start my quest for more power

i think having a car run 10s and be streetable and stock appearing without removeing a lot of extra weight is unrealistic. i think 12s would be much better and much more feasable. head/cam/intake is just the tip of the iceburg. you need a matched combination starting with a bare block and building from there. you'll also want a chassis/drive train combination to support the engine.
