LT1 vs LS1

I'm looking to drop one of these engines into my '88 Camaro but I am at a stand still on which one to use. Which one do you suggest?

I agree. And with the money you save, you can always add a cam and other goodies to make up for the difference.

No question the LS1 is one sweet motor, but it's not a "straight bolt in", everything is expensive and if you need to have the PCM reprogrammed (there isn't any cheap BIN Editors), they are expensive.

And, to make it work you MUST install ALL of the sensors of the OBD II system. With the LT1, you can go back to the 8051, which is the BEST OBD I system there is on a GM car.
