Hows a hoist work?

Was using my hoist to pick the front end of my car up a bit and it got so far and it wouldn't lift anymore.. I realized I didn't tighten that little bolt on the bottom all the way... I didn't realize it until I would crank the side a little and it would make a very faint "fizzz" sound.. kinda scares me... all that pressure... could that little thing at the bottom there ever get blown out by lifting and engine?

the seals would blow out first. i don't think you have much to worry about.

I wouldnt trust it if the seal is leaking. It might just blow out and drop your car. Did you rent it, buy it, borrrow it? Well take it back and get a new one. I had to do that when I was yanking out the engine. Buy mine was shot, wouldnt lift a thing.
