Need Help ... Flywheel/Torque Converter wobble....

I've been having an odd rattling sound under my car for the last 2-3 weeks and I've been having troubles figuring out what it was. It doesn't rattle all the time, just mostly at idle or when coasting. Today I climbed under the car and everything looks fine. Then I started the car and climbed back under it again. The flywheel and torque converter are wobbling. I watched the crank where the flywheel is bolted and it looks fine. It appears to me that the flywheel is possibly warped, making the torque converter wobble since it's attached to it. This can't be good on the transmission. I still can't locate the source of the rattle sound since it didn't rattle the whole time I was underneath the car but I'm sure it has something to do with this. Does anyone know what might have caused this problem? Any other ideas on what could be going on? Thanks in advance.

The flexplate might be cracked near where it bolts to the crankshaft.

your flexplate bolts could be loose ..this same problem happened to me last month (the rattle thing) and i couldnt find it i was about to swap trannys anyway so i didnt worry much (i knew it wasnt in the motor) and sure enough some of the bolts had backed out some making it hit the TC.

I checked the torque converter to flywheel bolts and they're fine but it could be the flywheel to crank bolts or the flexplate could broken. My friend had his break too but he didn't mention any sort of rattle sound. I'll have to look closer at the flywheel.

Problem fixed ... I'm just not sure how I fixed it.

I unbolted the torque converter from the tranny and pushed it back and didn't see anything wrong with the flywheel. Then my friend got under the car and had me bump the engine around so he could look and then he told me it's not cracked. So I was wondering what the heck the problem could be. So we decided to bolt everything back up and then take it down the road so he could see what it was doing. So I bolted the torque converter back to the flywheel and started the car. Now my torque converter/tranny are NOT wobbling like they were before and there's no more rattling sound. We were thinking that maybe the torque converter to flywheel bolts were just loose but they weren't loose when I took them off so I still don't know what was wrong.

I'm just happy it's fixed.... for now.
