blake smoke and hesitation
blake smoke and hesitation
OK, I have a new problem. Driving under part throttle conditions with Diacom running everything looks good. O2 readings transitioning rapidly from rich to lean, and BLM stays pretty close to 128. Its when I hammer on it that the crap hits the fan! It goes like a bat outta' hell right until its ready to shift. Then it hesitates and chugs and won't shift unless I let out of the throttle some. Then it shifts and belches out a cloud of black smoke and takes off like a bat outta' hell again. When I look at the Diacom recordings, it shows that I leaned out right at that point, so whats with the black smoke? That would indicate I was way too rich, right? Keep in mind that this happens in each gear at about 5000 RPMs. I'm running 10psi boost, so I'm wondering if the supercharger is blowing out the spark at the higher RPMs and causing the fuel to go unburnt out the tailpipes. But I don't understand why I'd get low O2 readings in Diacom. Any ideas?
i've saw lot of cars on the drag strip do the black smoke thing, especially street cars. what kind of trans do you have, is it vacumn controled? you might want to ask on the power adder board, guidos car makes the puff of black smoke thing. what sort of ignition do you have?
