I don't seem to understand what is going on when I try to do this. I am wanting to compare the same motor with different cams and heads. Isn't this what it is used for?

its really intended to find the optimum cam timing for a specific combination
It really is meant to be used within a narrow set of working parameters.
You tell it what you got and it tells you the best way to optimize them.

Right. For example, say you're trying to find out an optimum intake duration for your motor and everything else is pretty close. You'd tell it to change the intake duration by so much for so many times and you'd watch the figures as they scroll by. They'll usually increase as the numbers increase, but at some point, they'll taper off or start dropping.. You watch for where you want the peak of the power curve to be taking into consideration other things on your car like stall speed, rear end gearing, etc.

That makes a little more sense now. I will try to use it tonight and see what happens.
JZA, I see that you are in pensacola. I was there last week. Great weather down there. I went to this place in Navarre called "New Sensation Industries" and this guy has a thirdgen with a 305 in it and a 4 speed running 11.30's. He competes in the Super Stock class. It was silver and yellow and the interior was all tweed. Sweet car.
