Well it rained pretty hard here today and on my way to school, I went through some pretty nasty puddles. More like small rivers. Needless to say my car stalled and would not start again.

So 8 hours later I go back and it has trouble starting, and then when it finally kicks over and I got it revving like mad, it cuts out. Then it sounds like it wants to start, but won't. Kicks over for about 3 seconds and dies again. So I am guessing I probably got something pretty wet. I already checked the distributor cap and it's not cracked and there is no moisture. Plugs are tight and no condensation in the boots. There was a little water by the back part of the motor, so I am guessing I could have got my coil wet?

The car started like a champ before the puddle incidents.

Any ideas or reinforcement of my suspision would be helpful. Thanks! :hail:

Or a little wd-40 in the cap..it doesnt take much moisture to mess things up in the cap....hairline cracks are hard to see. I say replace the cap.
