Inline Fuel Pump and Wiring Color Trouble!!!

Where do you run your power for your inline pump? I wired the ground to the black wire and the power wire to the Gray wire from the pump harness, is this correct? What goes to where on the 3 wires from the pump harness? People said I should run it seperate with a relay? Your thoughts?

I ran a new Positive wire to the relay and just ran the ground to the chassis.

i'd run ti with the factory wiring. already has a relay and the oil preasure switch. use a test light to figure out what wire is what and run the ground to the chassis.

Everyone says if you do this, it takes power away from the stock one?

I have an auxilary pump running on my 88 GTA & it is esentially running off the existing fuel pump circuit. Everything is fine. However, I run a separate relay for the second pump, but the power source & relay switch source come from the existing fuel pump relay. DO NOT try to run the pump by just tapping into the fuse panel without using a relay.
You will experience Wierd Science Electronics that you can't believe.
You won't dimish the performance of you exisiting pump by tapping off the exisiting fuel pump circuit, after its relay. If there is an excessive current draw on your fuel pump circuit, the fuse will blow. I would add an in-line fuse for the 2nd pump, 10 amp, just to protect the extra wiring for your 2nd pump.
