Need advice on next mod....

This weekend I putting the engine from my Z into my T/A. I already have a base GMPP 350 (9 months old) along with a TH-350 tranny that was rebuilt with a 2200 T/C, shift kit, and stuff at the same time. Only mods are an Edelbrock intake and carb, and a Mac 3" cat-back and Catco cat. with no emmisions or computer. When I do the swap I'm putting on a Mallory FPR and a set of Hedman headers.

I would like to get this car into the high 13's, but it is still my daily driver...do you have any suggestions for my next mod?

Thanks,
Matt

What do you think about Roller rockers? I'm going to try to avoid internal mods since the engine is new and still under a 3 year /36,000 mi warreny through GM. Also I have a 2.73 Posi rear, think 3.42's are a good idea.

Also, how close would you say I am to 13's?

Thanks again,
Matt

Is that the Goodwrench 350? If so, to reach 13s you need a new cam.

Gears are a good choice though too.

It's the GM 285hp, their lowest base engine. I'm guessing it is the same or close to the same as the goodwrench. As to reducing the 60...my T/A has the WS6 suspension with the ES poly bushing on the torque arm and tranny mount. Other then that stock with 16x8" radials. I realize gears are a must, but is there anyway there without a new cam?

Mark, your setup is very similar to mine, have you made a pass with those mods?

Yes, I have, but the car is out of tune, timing, plugs, wires, carb, so it's not an accurate measure.

RB83L69 says I should be able to pull off a 13.8 at 100mph or so. There should be no reason why I couldn't hit very low 14s.
