I did an auto to 5-speed swap in my 83 TA. My problem is i havent changed the PROM yet, so I am plagued with high idle and erratic performance with the air conditioning on. I was wondering if anybody out there had an old PROM laying around that they would be willing to sell me out of an 83-87 LG4 or 83-86 L69 car with a 5-speed. Mine is an 83 Trans Am with the LG4. Thank you.

 

If you can't find one here go to a gm dealer and expect to pay 65 bucks.

 

I work at a Chevy dealer here in PHX and they said the ECM's and PROM's are discontinued. Thats the only reason I'm asking here. I just hate to go spend $150-175 for an aftermarket one the minimal gains ill get from it. I just want the driveablilty to be back to where it was. But I do prefer one off an L69 car if anyone reads this and has one. Thanks.
