so i have to change my alternator. what bolts to take out. (pic inside)

so i have to change my alternator. what bolts to take out. (pic inside)

can someone tell me which bolts need to be taken out to change it?

it ought to have a bolt and maybe nut going from front to back that it pivots on plus the bolt on top on the adjustment slot. there might also be a bolt on the back attached through a brace. if you know what an alternator is it shouldn't be hard to figure out what bolts hold it on. and you need to unhook the wires and before you do anything unhook the battery.

I did mine just by looking at it, and I am by no means mechanically inclined. Just listen to what ede said - unhook the battery first. Then unclip the plug from the alternator..

Remove the one in the top right of the picture and the one in the lower left. When you put it in there is a nice hole in the top bracket to wedge a large screwdriver or small prybar in to tension up the belt. Make sure you get the belt on correctly and that it stays on while tightening up the alt.

P.S. every alt I have ever gotten for my car had to be reclocked, bear that in mind.
