Would these heads be overkill on a 350?

220cc runners, 2.08 intake/1.60 exhaust. I know most people use the 2.02 intake valves on 350's, so I wanted to know if the 2.08 were better for 400 small block chevy's or if that size would still be beneficial to a 350 bored .030 or .060 over. I'm trying to pick out heads for a 350 combo that puts out between 450-500 hp. Thanks.

that's a bit much unless you have a lot of cam and intake and run at top rpm range all or most of the time. if they're free or cheap hell yes, but if you're paying for them find something a little more street friendly.

They seem like they would be too much for a 350. What kind of cam are you running? Out of curiousity, what brand are the heads?

They are World Motown heads. I don't have the engine yet, I was planning this out for a 350 buildup. I'm looking at a Comp Cams Xtreme Energy 294 or Magnum 305 to run in the combo. I'm looking for 450+ hp.

What is this car going to spend its life doing?

If it's a daily driver, they're a mistake. If it's strip-only, they're probably good for a low-mid-11-second 2500 lb car. If this is your first fast car build-up and it's the usual sort of monkey-spank we often hear about being faster than yerbasic local Mustangs in the high-school parking lot, they're WAAAAAYYYYY overkill. If you have something else you drive most of the time and this is a Sat night special, then they might be OK.

Well, I have to deal with a 12 second T-bird and Maverick at my school. I was actually planning on going with 2.02 heads with 200 cc runners. This would probably be for a Saturday Night Special type car. Basically I'm trying to get horsepower figures for what I'd need to put a 3rd gen in low 12's.
