Dumb Question

Ok here it is when I got my Iroc the back glass had the defroster bars on it. I could never find the switch for it. I thought maybe the person I bought it from might have replaced the hatch. I checked the RPO codes (C49) in the decoder section and sure enough my car came with rear glass defroster. Where is this damn thing located or wher would it supposed to be located? :lala:

I guess he replaced that part 1'w X 2"L cause the only thing there is a solid piece with an led light in it no purpose never seen it lit up. I will have to take it off and see if there is a plug for the defroster behind it. Also wher could I get a new piece with the switch in it. Thinks for the help Mark! John

The switch is pretty common in the boneyard.

You might find that your car didn't come with the defogger, in which case you'd need all the wiring and the relay too. The relay lives in the console under the radio; the wiring should be sticking out of the places where the hatch lift struts attach to the body, and have connectors to plug onto the struts.
