Block Suffix TRR - ID help!
Block Suffix TRR - ID help!
I worked a trade deal for a 350 builder motor that has the suffix TRR. This motor has a 1 piece seal crank and the roller bosses are tapped for roller cam hardware.
Can someone help me ID this block origin?
Please.
I tried several different searches with no luck.
Thanks!
Ernie

The suffix is meaningless except as a historical cuiosity... no magic properties would have mystically wafted out of the sheet metal or fiberglass that the block was originally wrapped in, and imbued themselves into the cast iron. Doesn't happen.
The casting # tells all you need to know, along with a micrometer and an eyeball.

OK Mike from Nastyz28.com found the suffix ID and I also looked up the casting # ID:
Engine Block: Suffix TRR - 1989 350 LO5 185hp G30 truck
Casting # 14093638...350...87-95...2 or 4...Roller or flat tappet cam one-piece rear seal
Looks like a perfect candidate!
Thanks for the help.
