I think stock the 91 would be faster, other than that it is all in what each of the cars have. Are both auto, manual or what. Need more info, and this board will probably tell you to go to the theoretical racing board instead of this board. I am sure there are alot of articles over there with the same question as you.

Well, all things being equal the 91 and 92s should be the quickest. But, given a different driver on each they'll all be a driver's race.

I love the 91-92z28's. They are nice cars. WIsh I could get a good deal on one. I got the 350 in my 84, and I love it. It's got so much power. Just want to get me a nice custom paint job on it.

well my 91 z28 t-top is for sale its got minor mods like k&n and tune up with new calipers and new battery and alternator of 120 amps and it has 166,xxx miles and im selling it for 4999 dollars of a better offer i would also sell it for 4500 but firm no less than that.
it has new black headliner is a grey/black interior with red exterior and its all power but the seats
shocks have to be replaced but its not much money its like 144
besides that it has a 4 inch dmg on the drivers seat but its covered with a patch and it runs strong but i really need the power or a 350!!!!

is it true that a stock 91 350 z28 runs 14.4 at 97 mph??????????????

I love the powe of my 350, but I have wished many times I could find a trade for a 305 to be more gas mileage friendly, since I drive 700 miles every other weekend to pick up my daughter. Don't get me wrong, I would really hate to give up the power, but I just had my 3rd child 2 weeks ago and a 305 would be more sensible right now. I had even thought about trying to trade in classifieds, but I don't want everybody trying to trade me a beat up car because I don't have the time to run around looking at them. But if I could find a nice car I would defenitely consider it. My car is far from stock and is really quick. I don't know, I love my car so much an would hate to ever part with it.

The differences are minor and times/results vary. People were getting 14.20's out of L98 IROC-Z's (standard 3.27 BW) since 87. What they run now depends on how the car was taken care of and whether its completely stock or not. Go with what style/model of the car you like the best, although handling should be slightly better on an IROC-Z.

Transmission: A 700R4 that has trouble handling the formentioned 350.
1990 - 1992 L98 cars have the same engine, same transmission, and same rear end. So any car L98 car from '90 - '92 should be the same times. So my favorite is the 1990 IROC-Z because it has the IROC styling with the new higher output Speed Density Intake.
Later, Garrett
