panhard rod ?'s

I recently checked out the rearend of the 86 Z i recently bought. It looks like the guy that owned it before me bent the panhard rod putting the exhaust in. The exhaust was sitting on top of it and the rod was bent right there. How would this affect my handling? Should i buy a new one? If so where, which one and how much will it cost me. Thanks.

If you want the rear end to stick, you need to have a striaght, rigid, properly adjusted panhard rod (or, "track bar", as GM calls it).

If you look right at the top of this page, you can see that Steve Spohn offers suspension parts designed for our cars. And of course, you'll have to properly readjust the exhaust system to make the necessary space.
