super chip

Basically, does it work? The superchip I mean, do you really get 17 horses or so? Does it help with the automatic shifting? Any info would be much appreciated. Thank you.

It works. 17 horsepower? I doubt it. I don't know how it could help with shifting. I have a super chip for my car (87 305 tpi auto) sitting right here on my desk. Nope, I'm not using it.

It is better to get a chip specifically made for your car, rather than buying it off the shelf.

Basically it advances your timing too.
