I posted this in the TPI and electronics section. This has gone own long enough. I just can seem to get the car started.

I agree with the other post, check to see if your 180 out. Pull a valve cover off and check to see if your on the compression stoke by watching the valve springs. If neither one of them have any load, then it's TDC. Check where the rotor is and go from there. Don't put gas in the plenum, because if it backfires then you could break other parts, TPS is the first that comes to mind. But my opinion is the distributor is off. Remember the rotor doesn't always have to point to the number one cylinder, it has to point to the number one terminal which could be anyone you pick. Try it and let us know what you find out.
