Question about 52MM TB

I bought one when i rebuilt my motor and i had to adjust the screw out to make my car idle. So i checked the TPS the other day and at idle it is at .9 instead of .5 where it is supposed to be. Could this cause problems?

So should I adjust the TB back to where the voltage is .54? If i do that my car wont idle. I cant adjust the TPS so I dont have many choices.
Thanks

Why cant you adjust the TPS??? If its not idling right, make sure the IAC is adjusted properly first, then after that you can mess with the minimum idle speed...but if you have it adjusted for a higher idle, the TPS is gonna go up too... But you should be able to adjust that...unless im missing something. Oh well..just my ideas..check it out.

Hmmm...well, Im gonna say what I think, but Ive been finding that the 90's birds are alittle diff. I have an 87, so here is what I did. First, I think the IAC is set on its own. In other words, take it out, set the pintle distance then stick it back in. Thats how I have to do it. Then, since you cant adjust your TPS, Ide imagine the only way you can do it is by adjusting your TB closed til the voltage is right... The TPS instructions I got with my new TPS said anywhere from .5 to .8...but most people will tell you to keep it around .5. See if adjusing the IAC helps tho, you might be able to drop that idle screw back some and get the voltage down. If Im wrong, yell at me.
