Intake Manifold - Vacuum Plug

Alright guys, i need wisdom. I just bought a brand new GM ZZ4 and have most everything done as of now. It runs, etc etc. BUT i have one problem (amongst many): there are two plugs on the front of the intake manifold that i am negotiating. One is vacuum and one is coolant -- well, the coolant is 3/8" drive quare (female) fitting. One that is easily removed with a 3/8 ratchet. The vacuum however is not 1/4" and not 3/8" but somewhere in between the two(yet also square). I am guessing it requires a special tool available from GM at a mere 40$ or something. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

snap on makes square plug sockets, i have a set, can't be beat when you need them. if you don't want to buy any new tools try welding a nut on top of the plug, a big nut ,like 3/4" or so and then wrench it out.
