Fiberglass Hatch

I was just curious if anyone knew of any place to get a fiberglass rear hatch that I could use lexan in? So far all I have seen is that Targa style hatch which really isn't any lighter. If anyone has any input, lemme know... thanks

From what I hear, plan on spending about $600, if I recall correctly.

The aftermarket product review board would be a lot better place to ask this.

what are u planning to do with the car? if its drag strip weight your hoping to shed, than the rear hatch is not bad weight its good ballast for traction, i imagine you could spend that money better elsewere

Yeah it is my street/strip car that is a little heavy on the "strip" side. Ive done a little more research and I think the best route will be to simply fabricate one. I can use the current hatch as a template to make an aluminum frame and then just wrap in some lexan and I will be set. It should not be too difficult to fab one that will be hinged at the top and pinned at the bottom.

Best pass this year was 9.97 but I am looking to take as much weight off the car as possible. Ive also looked into the tubular k-members but have not found a lot of info on them either. Do these people not have websites or what? lol Next I will be trying to fabricate a k-member lol
