WTF, Wires Still Getting Very Hot!

Some of you may remember this originally from the post "HELP! Wires Getting Extremely Hot And Bursting Into Flames!". So here's what i've gotten to so far. The distributor is no longer hardwired to the battery (finally got that figured out), and I've replaced the coil, and even changed two of the sparkplugs from bosch4's to standard acdelco's, and after not even 10 mins of running the spark plug wires (accel 8.8's) get so incredibly hot you can hardly touch it. Anyone know if there's a volt meter in the power line to the coil or anything else of the sort, cuz I have no idea what else could be causing this. the last thing I want to do is have my wires burst into flames and have flames shootin out my cowl while drivin down the street. Anyone know of anything that could cause this??
